Christophe Degrez

Degrez holds a master's degree in Economics from KU Leuven (1997) and completed executive programs at INSEAD and Nyenrode. He has worked in the renewable energy sector for more than 25 years. He co-founded Bnewable in 2022 with Kristof Vereenooghe, targeting the growing market for on-site battery systems. The company's stated ambition is to manage 1 gigawatt hour of storage capacity in Belgium by 2030, equivalent to two gas power plants. The EUR 40 million growth round was committed by existing investors in December 2024.
