Christophe Van Huffel

Christophe Van Huffel is a co-founder of OncoRNA, where he has served as chief scientific officer since September 2023, and is based in Rixensart. He has also been with the management company GENERGON since February 2002.

From May 2017 to September 2023 he handled North-American pharma business prospection for OncoDNA. In 2020 he advised myNEO Therapeutics on business growth and took a short-term mission as interim chief executive of Persomed. Earlier short-term work included directing the bioprocess department at Pall Life Sciences between 2016 and 2017 and an internship as an investment specialist at DRI Capital in 2014. He was chief executive of Targetome S.A. from April 2014 to November 2016, and coached university spin-offs at GESVAL S.A. from 2010 to 2016. He was a programme manager at IBA molecular from 2006 to 2014 and director of R&D at Eppendorf AG from 2002 to 2006, following a period as a biotechnology analyst at Puilaetco Dewaay Private Bankers. He was chief scientist at Starlab from 1999 to 2001, a scientist at Millennium Pharmaceuticals from 1996 to 1999, and a postdoctoral fellow at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute from 1993 to 1996.

Van Huffel holds a master's degree and a PhD in chemistry from the Université libre de Bruxelles, and completed the CEPAC programme at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management in 2008.
