Clementine Francois

Clementine Francois is a co-founder of ephyca, where she has been head of engineering since June 2025. From August 2021 to December 2025 she was an engineering manager at Tobii.

She co-founded Phasya in December 2014 and sat on its board until August 2021, serving as chief scientific officer from October 2018. In 2014 and 2015 she was an organiser at SomnoSafe.

Her career began at the University of Liège, where she was a research engineer from August 2010 to September 2014 and then a research and teaching assistant until September 2018. She was a doctoral student there from August 2010 to October 2018, completing a PhD in engineering sciences on drowsiness characterisation, having earned a master's degree in biomedical engineering from the same university in 2010. She also took the International Sleep Medicine Course of the Belgian Association for Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine in 2010, the From Research to Business programme in 2012, and a project management certificate at Centrale Lille in 2015.
