Danny Vanrijkel
Danny Vanrijkel is based in Deinze, where he founded AID - drone inspectie in 2019 and works as its drone inspection pilot. Since February 2009 he has also been a business development manager at POM Oost-Vlaanderen.
Earlier in his career he was a service engineer at Sony Professional Belgium from 1989 to 1997, then head of the indoor commercial department at Somfy until February 2000. He was an international project manager at Barco from 2000 to 2002, head of R&D at Renson from 2002 to 2003, and export manager at Hannecard from 2003 to 2005. From July 2006 to October 2009 he was service manager at Helioscreen.
He studied electronics at NARAFI Vorst from 1983 to 1986 and took a Bachelor of Commerce as a commercial engineer at the Europese Hogeschool Brussel between 1992 and 1997, having previously studied mathematics at lyceum.
