
David Castro
David Castro is the chairman and co-founder of Qplox engineering, which he co-founded in June 2012. He is based in Heverlee.
He was a test architect at GRAMMER Electronics from June 2012 to November 2014 and a test architect at ams AG from January 2013 to April 2015. He worked as a semiconductor test engineer at NXP Semiconductors from November 2014 to March 2015, then as an RF test engineer at Huawei from April to August 2015.
Castro began his career as a research engineer at Philips Research in September 2004, and in September 2006 joined NXP Semiconductors as a research engineer, a role he held until June 2012. In the first half of 2008 he completed an industrial management internship at imec.
He studied at the Universidad de Valladolid, taking a BSc in telecommunications and electronic systems from 1997 to 2001 and an MSc in electronics from 2001 to 2003. From 2007 to 2008 he studied MIM, ESE at KU Leuven.
