Dieter Hauwaerts

Dieter Hauwaerts is a co-founder of Antleron, based in Brussels. He founded the company in November 2014 and has also served as its ATMP GMP Factory Architect since January 2020. In parallel he has been managing director of Eliri bvba since September 2016.

Between February and October 2025 he was senior vice president of quality operations ad interim at Biotest AG, and from June 2023 to December 2024 he worked as an expert consultant for VIB. He joined Prothya Biosolutions in May 2017 as director of quality, becoming vice president of quality in January 2021 and remaining until February 2023. Before that he was at Celyad, first as director of manufacturing and then as vice president of operations, and at TiGenix, where he was head of production, director of manufacturing EU and director of outsourced manufacturing between 2006 and 2014. He began his career at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson in 2002, holding roles as project leader, coordinator of A-Lims data management and manager of lab support.

He studied at KU Leuven from 1991 to 1996.
