Dimitris Iakovakis

Dimitris Iakovakis is a cofounder of Koios Care, a company he has been involved with since September 2022, and is based in Belgium.

Before that he was a venture builder at The Sanguine Lab from August 2021 to October 2022. He worked as a machine learning scientist at Amazon between September 2020 and August 2021, and in the first half of 2021 he was an adjunct lecturer in AI in finance at the University of Luxembourg. Earlier, he completed an AI and data science internship in business analytics at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) in 2017, and in 2016 he worked on engineering a prototype for a digital therapeutic at Kaia Health.

Iakovakis was a PhD candidate at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from September 2016 to August 2021, earning a doctorate in electrical and computer engineering. He also holds a Master of Engineering in electrical and computer engineering from the same university, and studied data science at The Data Incubator in 2016.
