Dirk Avau
Dirk Avau is the founder and chief executive of IntellectEU, a company he started in January 2002. He is based in Halle.
Before founding IntellectEU, Avau was commercial director at Proximus from 1998 to 2002. He spent the preceding decade at IBM, where he was an account marketing manager from 1988 to 1998. He began his career at imec, working as a researcher there from 1984 to 1988.
Avau holds an M.Sc&E in physics from RUGent and KULeuven.
