Dirk Haex

Dirk Haex is Managing Director of Belnet, based in Brussels. He took up that role in July 2022, having previously served as co-General Director from April 2020 to June 2022, and he has been Engineering & Operations Director since October 2015. He joined Belnet in March 2003 as a Senior Engineer and was Head of Networks from April 2005 to September 2015. Since June 2026 he has also sat on the board of DNS Belgium.

Before Belnet, Haex was a Communication System Engineer at AXI from February 2000 to March 2003, and a Research & Development Engineer at Colruyt Group from August 1998 to January 2000. He studied telecommunications at Erasmushogeschool Brussel from 1994 to 1998 and completed a master's in communication technology at De Nayer Instituut Mechelen in 2003.
