Dirk Versavel

Dirk Versavel is the founder and CEO of Marcando, a company he started in April 2021. He is based in Brugge.

He holds two other current positions: he co-founded ByondFiles in July 2020, where he is chief technology officer, and he has been managing director of Encima I Intelligente maatsoftware since July 2002.

Earlier in his career, Versavel worked as a project manager at Proximus during the first half of 2000, and before that as a software engineer at LMS International from September 1995 to December 1999.

He studied at KU Leuven, completing a Burgerlijk Ingenieur Electromechanica degree with the option Mechatronica in Toegepaste Wetenschappen between 1988 and 1993, followed by a Burgerlijk Ingenieur Computerwetenschappen degree with the option Software Engineering from 1993 to 1995. He attended Sint-Amandscollege Kortrijk from 1982 to 1988, following Latijn-Wiskunde.
