Dorine Smeets

Dorine Smeets is the founder of elmos and is based in Brussels, where she has been a competence manager and project manager at Elmos since January 2026. Since July 2026 she has also been an IT project lead at Belfius Insurance, and she has owned D&F Solutions since December 2011.

Between February 2014 and December 2025 she worked at Tripwire Solutions, first as a functional analyst, then as a business analyst from August 2020 and as a project manager from December 2022. Before that she was a commercial assistant at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. from October 2011 to January 2014, following an internship in the politics, press and culture section of the Royal Netherlands Embassy, a period in the sales department of SITA Suez, and earlier internships at KBC Bank & Verzekering and Bureau Jeugdzorg Noord-Brabant.

She studied at Tilburg University, taking a bachelor's degree in business economics and master's degrees in strategic management and finance, and later completed a graduate programme in informatics at Groep T - Internationale Hogeschool Leuven. She holds PRINCE2 training from Team Prosource and a Certified Scrum Product Owner qualification from LEARNIA.
