Dries Smet
Dries Smet is the founder of Ostro, a company he started in November 2025, and is based in Temse. In the same month he founded XIRI VENTURES. He states expertise in n8n, automation, artificial intelligence and business process improvement.
From May 2023 to September 2025 he was co-owner of AppleMC. He worked at Sack Zelfbouw across several roles, first as an accounting assistant on internship from September 2019 to June 2020, then as a student accounting assistant from July 2020 to September 2021, and in finance and IT from October 2021 to March 2024. Between February and May 2021 he handled crypto community management at SafeToken, and earlier, from April to June 2019, he completed administrative and logistics internships at various companies. From March 2018 to December 2023 he was head organiser at Kosmik Events.
He studied business management at Karel de Grote-Hogeschool in 2020 and 2021.
