Edith Hermans

Edith Hermans is Chief Technology Officer at i4F Patents & Technologies, a role she took up in October 2025. She is based in Bilzen.

She has been at Tessenderlo Group since October 2012, first as Group Director IP and managing innovation transformation until September 2016, then from September 2016 as Vice President Innovation and Intellectual Property, a position she continues to hold.

Hermans spent fifteen years at DSM, joining in September 1997 as a trainee patent attorney and becoming a patent attorney in September 2000 and a senior patent attorney in September 2003. She then worked as a senior marketing and sales consultant from May 2005 to December 2006, and as an intellectual asset manager from October 2007 until November 2012.

She studied chemistry at Hasselt University from 1988 to 1990 and at KU Leuven, where she completed an M.Sc. in 1992 and a Ph.D. in chemistry in 1997.
