Egwin Avau
Egwin Avau is the founder and CEO of Panenco, a company he started in September 2014 and which is based in Leuven.
Before founding Panenco, he was active in the student organisation Ekonomika, where he worked on election week from June 2011 to April 2012 and then served as praeses from April 2012 to April 2013. In July and August 2010 he was a summer intern at IntellectEU.
He studied at KU Leuven from 2009 to 2012, completing bachelor's degrees in Information Systems Engineering and in Business Engineering, and went on to a master's degree in Information Systems Engineering there between 2012 and 2014. During that period he also took a master's degree in Information Systems Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2013 to 2014. He attended HHCHalle from 2002 to 2008, studying mathematics and sciences, and spent 2008 to 2009 on a high school exchange programme at South Kitsap High School.
