Ellen De Geyndt

Ellen De Geyndt is the founder and CEO of alfasent, based in Ghent. She co-founded AlfaSent in February 2024. From February 2021 to September 2025 she was a researcher with the LT3 - Language and Translation Technology Team.

Before that she worked at Wasp Software on the service desk between August 2020 and January 2021. She spent three years at Hello Customer, joining in March 2017 for an internship as a language engineer, continuing as a language engineer from September 2017 and then as onboarding manager from September 2018 until August 2020. In 2016 she interned as a project manager and translator at the language services provider Fasttranslator.com.

She studied at Ghent University, taking a bachelor of arts in applied languages from 2012 to 2015, a master of arts in language translation from 2015 to 2016, and a programme in computer assisted language mediation from 2016 to 2017.
