
Emile Haye is the CEO of ics-innovative-coating-solutions, based in Namur. He is also a senior researcher at the Université de Namur, a position he has held since January 2022, and he works with Elsevier as managing editor of Applied Surface Science and as a member of the early career advisory board of Surface and Coatings Technology, both since the start of 2022.
He joined the Université de Namur in November 2016 and held postdoctoral positions there until December 2021. Before that he was a PhD student at the University of Lorraine from October 2013 to September 2016, earning a doctorate in materials science through the Ecole Doctorale ED 409 EMMA. In 2013 he completed his master's thesis at Swerea and undertook an internship at Fives Celes, and in 2010 he spent a summer as an assistant engineer intern at EFD Induction.
Haye studied materials science at the Ecole Européenne d'Ingénieurs en Génie des Matériaux from 2008 to 2013 and at Luleå University of Technology from 2012 to 2013, taking a Master of Engineering from each. He completed his baccalauréat in science at the Lycée Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume in 2008.
