Emmanuel Baeten
Emmanuel Baeten is a co-founder of Recyclo, which he started in May 2016. He is based in Brussels and holds two other continuing positions: he has managed LE TEINTURIER DU LONGCHAMPS since September 2009 and has been managing director of Company in Blue since December 1993.
Between 2017 and 2022 he was a co-founder of the Belgian Insect Industry Federation (BiiF) and sat on its board as a director. He co-founded Protein Farm in January 2013 and was in charge of its daily management until December 2024, and from January 2015 to May 2018 he was managing partner of Sustainable Ventures Network. Earlier he was a partner in Farmed in Brussels from 2012 to 2014. He began his career as an account manager at Van Heyghen Staal from 1993 to 1994 and was sales manager at Istanbul Airlines from February 1997 to September 1999.
Baeten completed his secondary schooling at Instituut van Gent between 1972 and 1984 and took a master's degree in business and finance at HUB-EHSAL from 1984 to 1989. He studied at Institut Eco-conseil asbl in 2015 and 2016.
