Eric Charles
Charles was a committer on Jupyter Notebook, JupyterLab, and Jupyter Server at Project Jupyter from 2019 to 2024. He founded Datalayer in 2020 to make it easier for data analysts and developers to build on top of the Jupyter ecosystem with accelerated GPU kernels and AI-driven workflows.
As CEO he leads Datalayer's product, including its Jupyter MCP server, AI agents for Jupyter, and Jupyter Embed, with the platform sold both on-prem and as SaaS.
