Éric Piraux

Éric Piraux is the co-founder and chief executive officer of botronics, based in Charleroi. He has held the role of chief executive officer at Botronics since January 2023.

Before that he was a senior developer and tech lead at Elia Group from March 2021 to January 2023. He worked as an SOA and middleware architect consultant at STIB-MIVB between June 2015 and February 2021, and as a senior software architect consultant at Infrabel from March 2008 to June 2015. He was an architect at Smals from August 2007 to February 2008, and before that a senior developer and operations manager at Intelligent Software Company from February 2004 to August 2007. Earlier in his career he was an application manager at Trasys from December 2001 to February 2004, IT manager at Citybird from August 1998 to October 2001, and an IT specialist at ULB from May 1993 to August 1998.

He studied mechanical engineering at the Haute Ecole de la Communauté française 'Paul-Henri Spaak', Bruxelles, from 1987 to 1991.
