Fabien Defays

Fabien Defays is a co-founder and CEO of Cilyx, based in Seraing, a role he has held since January 2020. He is also co-founder and CEO of CISEO, which he started in June 2017, and of Citius Engineering, which he co-founded in April 2009. Since September 2013 he has been part of Club APM Liege Ardente at APM - Association Progrès du Management.

Between January 2021 and July 2022 he was CEO of industrial robotics automation. He served as an administrator of Pôle MecaTech from June 2021 to June 2025, of AILg : Association des Ingénieurs diplômés de l'ULiège from October 2020 to April 2025, and of Réseau Entreprendre Wallonie from May 2016 to May 2025. Earlier he was CEO of KST Process from July 2014 to December 2015 and of Engiconcept from November 2012 to December 2015.

He began his career at the Université de Liège as a researcher in September 2002, and joined Techspace Aero in January 2004, working as an after sales engineer and as a project manager until June 2009. He holds a master's degree in mechanical and electrical engineering from the University of Liège, completed in 2001.
