François Van Uffelen
François Van Uffelen is the founder of Babelway and is based in Ottignies. He founded the company in September 2006 and served as its chief executive until February 2019.
He sits on the boards of Cooperlink.io and CheckHub - Document Automation Software, both since 2020, of Commuty since February 2019 and of Fund-X SA since January 2007. Since January 2000 he has worked with BUSINESS CAPITA as a business angel investor and start-up coach. He was a board member of Smartbeam from May 2019 to February 2024, of RFC Liège from February 2019 to January 2024 and of Sortlist from January 2018 to December 2022, and he was president of ROS Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve between June 2019 and July 2023.
Before Babelway, he was COO-CFO of B2Boost from 2000 to August 2006 and of Winbox.com from December 1999 to November 2000. He began his career at Accenture, where he was a senior manager in strategy consulting from September 1994 to November 1999.
Van Uffelen studied engineering at HEC Liège from 1984 to 1989 and took an MBA at INSEAD in 1993 and 1994.
