Overview

Robben is a computer scientist and lawyer who has been central to Belgian public sector digitization since 1985. In 1991 he founded the Crossroads Bank for Social Security, which he still leads as general manager. In 2000 the Belgian government asked him to develop the federal eGovernment masterplan and launch Fedict. Since 2004 he has been CEO of Smals, the main ICT provider for Belgian social security. Since 2008 he has also managed the eHealth Platform, which organizes secure electronic data exchange across all healthcare actors in Belgium.
