Frederic John

Frederic John is the co-founder of d-carbonize, a company he started in August 2021, and is based in Brussels. Since January 2022 he has been a professor at UMONS, and from September 2022 to August 2024 he was a visiting professor at Université Gustave Eiffel.

He held a succession of roles at Neckermann Strategic Advisors, joining as a consultant in June 2019, becoming senior consultant in June 2020 and senior associate from January to September 2022. Between January 2021 and December 2022 he headed the EMEA and America arm of the Young Professionals program at the International Road Federation (IRF), co-initiated PAVE Europe from January 2021 to March 2022, and contributed to the World Economic Forum from 2020 to 2021. He worked as a mobility advocate under his own name from January 2019 to February 2022.

Earlier, he was a consultant in advisory and consulting at Deloitte from 2016 to 2018, and an asset manager in private asset portfolio business development from 2014 to 2016. During his MBA at Imperial College Business School in 2018/19 he was a full-time MBA candidate leader and partnership activation manager at The Aviary Project. He took an MBA elective on the future of cities and smart mobility at New York University in 2019, and holds bachelor's and master's degrees in business engineering from UMONS.
