Frederic Terryn

Frederic Terryn is a co-founder of buildhive, which he started in April 2025. He is based in Gent.

Before that he spent close to four years at KPMG Belgium, joining in August 2021 as a senior advisor in procurement and supply chain and moving in February 2024 to a senior advisor role in digital strategy, which he held until June 2025. He worked as an IT consultant at escbelgie from February 2020 to August 2021, and earlier completed a software developer internship at InSites Consulting in 2019. His earlier work included a student job at AQUALEX, a summer as a lifeguard with IKWV - Intercommunale Kustreddingsdienst West-Vlaanderen, and student work at Spanbo.

Terryn studied applied information technologies with a focus on software development at HOGENT from 2016 to 2019, spent 2018 at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences studying information technology, and followed a postgraduate programme in artificial intelligence at HOWEST Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen from 2019 to 2021. He attended Klein Seminarie Roeselare in mathematics and sciences.
