Freek Van der Herten

Based in Antwerp, Freek is one of the most prominent figures in the Laravel and PHP open-source community globally. He co-founded Spatie, a Belgian web agency known for its extensive library of open-source PHP and Laravel packages, many of which have become standard tools in the Laravel ecosystem.

Beyond Spatie, Freek founded Oh Dear, an uptime monitoring and website health monitoring tool, and Flare, an error tracking service built specifically for PHP applications. Both products are bootstrapped and serve developer audiences.
