Gianluca Lentini

Gianluca Lentini is the CEO and co-founder of exsensia, a company he started in July 2024. He is based in Milan and states expertise in the Robot Operating System (ROS), artificial intelligence, humanoid robots and robotics.

Since June 2021 he has also held a postdoctoral position in robotics and AI at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, where he had previously carried out a PhD in robotics and control engineering between November 2017 and June 2021. During that period he spent from November 2019 to July 2020 at ABB on a PhD research stay initiative in robotics. Before beginning his doctorate he was a research assistant at the Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca "E. Piaggio" from February to October 2017.

His doctorate in robotics was awarded by the Università di Pisa, where he had earlier completed a Laurea Magistrale in robotics and automation engineering from 2013 to 2015. He studied electronic engineering at the Politecnico di Bari, taking a Laurea triennale between 2007 and 2013.
