Gilles Pinault
Gilles Pinault is the founder and maker of micro-factory, based in Brussels, a role he has held since April 2012. Since October 2023 he has also worked independently under Robots in Love as an artist in residence and consultant in technology and innovation.
He co-founded Softkinetic in 2007, serving as chief creative officer until March 2012 and then as head of curiosity until December 2015. From June 2000 to 2007 he worked at 72dpi multimedia as a 3D artist and interactive experience designer.
Pinault studied architecture at the Institut Supérieur d'Architecture Intercommunal in Brussels, completing a master's degree in 2000, and took a master's degree in virtual reality at the Université d'Angers in 2003. He states expertise in innovation management, entrepreneurial and strategic leadership, self-taught and adaptive approaches, emerging technologies and human machine interface.
