
Gino Villarini is the founder and chief executive of ip-metro, and is based in San Juan. Since June 2001 he has also been the founder and chief executive of AeroNet Wireless Broadband. Before that he was president of Cellumania.com from April 1998 to June 2001, and from June 1992 to June 1997 he worked as wholesale manager at Mr. Beeper / Mobile Communications.
He studied electrical engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Puerto Rico from 1993 to 1995, then took a BA in marketing and administration at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, completing it in 1998. In 2020 he obtained a certificate in disruptive strategy from Harvard Business School Online, and in May 2025 he attended the Owner/President Management programme at Harvard Business School Executive Education.
