Gottfried Proess

Gottfried Proess is Chief Technology Officer of Kaneka Eurogentec S.A., based in Liège, a role he took up in December 2022. He had by then spent nearly three decades with Eurogentec, joining as customer manager in July 1994 before becoming product manager in 1998, business unit manager for proteomics in 2001 and director of chemical operations from 2004 to 2022.

He sat on the board of CER Groupe from 2010 until April 2024 and was its president between January 2022 and February 2024.

Before joining Eurogentec, he worked as a researcher at CEA from July 1993 to July 1994. He studied at FUNDP Namur, the Université de Namur, where he completed a master's degree in chemistry and a PhD in organic chemistry between 1986 and 1991.
