Gregory Backer

Gregory Backer is the CEO of Cognizone, based in Brussels. He took up the role in July 2023, having joined the company as a project leader in September 2015. From January 2018 he was a program manager and partner, and from July 2019 a program manager and founder, holding both until April 2021, when he became chief operating officer, a position he held until July 2023.

Before Cognizone, Backer was an account manager at Serial Kreative from January 2015 to May 2016, and a web communication officer at C.E.P.L.I.S. from January 2013 to December 2014. He studied at the Université catholique de Louvain, where he completed a Master in Political Science, Political Science and Government in 2014.
