
Henri De Vroey is co-founder and CEO of emvi, a role he has held since January 2024. He is based in Knokke-Heist and has chaired the prevention council of KNOKKE-HEIST since January 2020.
He is also a senior researcher at Hogeschool VIVES, a position he took up in January 2023, and he teaches at KU Leuven, where he has been a docent since September 2021. He has been attached to KU Leuven since October 2015, first as a research assistant and, from October 2016, as a PhD candidate.
Between September 2021 and May 2023 he headed the occupational therapy programme at Hogeschool VIVES. He ran his own practice, Praktijk Henri De Vroey, from July 2014 to September 2022, and worked as a physiotherapist at AZ Zeno from July 2014 to December 2015.
He studied at KU Leuven, taking a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from 2009 to 2012, a master's in the same field from 2012 to 2014, and a PhD in biomedical sciences between 2016 and 2020.
