Hicham Mir

Hicham Mir is the founder and director of MIRICAL SOFTWARE, a company he founded in September 2021 and runs from Brussels.

Before that he spent a decade at OPmobility, where from 2011 to August 2018 he was a virtual prototyping research project leader and expert in process simulation, and from 2018 until August 2021 worked as a modeling and simulation software innovation engineer. He joined OPmobility after five years as a research officer at the National Research Council Canada.

Mir began his career at Université Laval, where he completed a PhD in civil engineering between 1999 and 2002. He remained at the university from 2002 to 2006 as a researcher and lecturer, and held a research professional post there from September 2002 to April 2006.
