
Jacob Kamminga is the founder of ecomoni, where he works on embedded AI species recognition. He is based in Guelph.
He has held a series of engineering placements at Melitron Corporation, joining as a co-op engineer from May to September 2023, returning as an engineer intern from January to September 2024, and taking up an engineer intern role again in May 2025, which he continues to hold. Before that, he worked as a cabinet maker at Cubit Kitchens from September 2018 to September 2022.
Kamminga has been studying at the University of Guelph since 2021, with studies running to 2026.
