JAN DE LEYN
Jan De Leyn is the founder of Publican BE, a company he started in October 2021. He is based in Antwerp.
Before that he worked as a lawyer at Schoups from August 2013 to May 2022, a role that overlapped with the first months of Publican BE. Earlier he was involved with Jura Falconis, where he served as a legal counsellor from September 2010 to June 2013, as an editor from March 2011 to July 2012 and as editor-in-chief from August 2012 to July 2013. In the autumn of 2011 he was a summer intern at Advocatenkantoor Hageland c.v.o.a., and in August 2008 he held a holiday job at the faculty of medicine of K.U. Leuven.
De Leyn studied law at KU Leuven, completing a bachelor's degree between 2008 and 2011 and a master's degree between 2008 and 2013, and studied business law at Oriel College, Oxford, in 2012. He attended Sint-Jozefscollege Aarschot from 2002 to 2008, following the Latin and modern languages track.
