Jan De Spiegeleer

Jan De Spiegeleer is chief executive officer of RiskConcile Holding BV, a role he took up in July 2024, and is based in Leuven. He co-founded RiskConcile in October 2015 and remained with the company until 2024. Since February 2014 he has also been a visiting professor in mathematics at KU Leuven.

Before RiskConcile, he was head of risk management at Jabre Capital Partners from 2007 to 2015, managing director of Erasmus-Capital NV from 2004 to 2007, and managing director at KBC Financial Products from 1994 to 2004. He began his career as an officer in the Belgian Army, serving from 1983 to 1994.

He studied civil engineering at the Royal Military Academy, Belgium, completing an MSc in 1988, and took a master's in financial management at Vlaams Economische Hogeschool the following year. At KU Leuven he obtained an MBA in 1993 and a PhD in mathematics in 2013.
