Jan Jonghe
Jan Jonghe is Chief Technology Officer at Optimum Sorting, a role he has held since January 2023. He is based in Leuven. He joined Optimum Sorting in July 2017 as R&D Manager, remaining in that position until December 2022. Since July 2017 he has also been zaakvoerder of KEVIAN bvba.
Before that, Jonghe was team leader of mechanical engineering at TOMRA Sorting Food from May 2011 to December 2016, and a mechanical design engineer at BEST nv from August 2006 to April 2011.
He studied at KU Leuven from 2001 to 2006, graduating with a Master in Electro-Mechanical Engineering with the option Biomedical Technology. He completed his secondary education in Wetenschappen-Wiskunde at Sint-Michielscollege Brasschaat between 1995 and 2001.
