
Jan Leyssens
Jan Leyssens is chief executive officer of AiroCollect, a role he took up in April 2026. He is based in Heverlee.
He has been with AiroCollect since September 2016, first as managing director and as managing director for sales and business development until June 2025, then as chief operating officer for sales and business development from January 2025 to April 2026.
Before that he spent twelve years at Septentrio, part of Hexagon, which he joined in September 2004 as a software design engineer. From November 2006 he worked as an application project engineer and support team coordinator, and from August 2011 to November 2016 as a product manager. He began his career at STMicroelectronics, where he was an application engineer from September 2003 to September 2004.
Leyssens studied industrial sciences in electronics engineering at KU Leuven - Group T Leuven Campus from 1999 to 2003, followed by an MSc in industrial sciences with a specialisation in avionics at Katholieke Hogeschool Brugge-Oostende, and an MBA in international business at UBI Business School from 2009 to 2010.
