
Jan Peirs
Jan Peirs is co-founder and chief executive of Xeryon, based in Leuven. He co-founded the company in May 2013 and has remained there since. His stated areas of expertise are robotics, precision motion and deeptech.
In the second half of 2013 he worked as an engineer at Settels Savenije van Amelsvoort and at ASML, holding both roles from June to December. Before that he was a researcher at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven from August 1993 to December 2012.
He studied at KU Leuven from 1988 to 1993, graduating as burgerlijk ingenieur werktuigkunde, and completed Latijn-Wiskunde at the Sint-Jozefsinstituut Kortrijk between 1977 and 1988.
