
Javier Perez-Tasso
Javier has led SWIFT as CEO since July 2019, driving the cooperative's strategy to enable instant and frictionless cross-border transactions in line with G20 goals. SWIFT processes over 11 billion financial messages annually for more than 11,500 member institutions worldwide, making it one of the most critical pieces of global financial infrastructure.
He joined SWIFT in 1995 and held a range of senior roles over more than two decades, including Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Executive for the Americas and UK regions. He was also Executive Sponsor of SWIFT's Customer Security Program from 2016 to 2018, leading the cooperative's response to growing cybercrime threats targeting member banks.
