Jay Thakkar
Jay Thakkar is the chief executive officer of flowup and is based in Bengaluru. Since June 2025 he has also been a senior software engineer at Oracle.
He spent close to five years at Avataar, joining as an intern in October 2020 and becoming a junior software development engineer in January 2021. He was a software development engineer there from January 2022, and a software development engineer II from July 2024 until June 2025.
Between March and July 2020 he took part in the Spark AR Open Program at The School of Innovation from Facebook. He studied computer engineering at P P Savani University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2021. His stated areas of expertise are React.js, JavaScript, Python, front-end development and Amazon Web Services.
