Jean-Baptiste Escoyez

Jean-Baptiste Escoyez is a co-founder of magello, a role he has held since September 2024. He is based in Brussels.

Between January 2024 and March 2025 he was interim CTO at Smovin, and from January 2022 to January 2024 he was CTO at Regate. He founded Flexio in August 2020 and remained there until January 2022. Earlier he was CTO at Overloop AI from September 2016 to September 2020, and before that hacker in residence at eFounders from June 2014 to September 2016. He was lead developer at Checkthis from May 2012 to May 2014, and co-founded Belighted, where he worked from September 2007 to March 2012.

Escoyez studied computer science at the Université catholique de Louvain, completing a Master of Engineering in 2007, and took a course in advanced topics in computer science at Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan in 2006.
