Jean Waucquez

Jean Waucquez is the co-founder of WHISE and is based in Brussels. He co-founded the company in March 2000 and remains an owner, serving as its managing director until March 2020, when he became chief executive officer.

Before founding WHISE, Waucquez spent the 1990s at Barco. He joined Barco nv in April 1990 as sales manager for Scandinavia, the USA and Austria, and in April 1993 became managing director of Barco Japan kk, a position he held until March 2000.

He studied electrical and electronics engineering at KU Leuven - Group T Leuven Campus, completing a master's degree in 1989, and took a bachelor's degree in economics at UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles between 1991 and 1992.
