Overview
Jean Zurstrassen is an elder statesman of the Brussels tech scene. Together with Jose Zurstrassen and Gregoire de Streel, he co-founded Skynet in January 1995, Belgium's first major internet provider, which Belgacom acquired in full by 1998. In 1998 the trio created VMS-Keytrade, Belgium's first online broker, which listed on Euronext in 1999, became Keytrade Bank in 2002, and was sold to Credit Agricole Group in 2002. He co-founded the Belcube seed fund with Gregoire de Streel, focusing on insuretech and service sector startups. He now serves as strategic advisor at Expon Capital.
