Jef Noelmans

Jef Noelmans is based in Sint-Lambrechts-Herk and has been Managing Director of Alpha ESS Benelux since July 2025. He has also been a mentor at Netwerk Ondernemen since September 2018.

He founded iinno-benelux in December 2018 and ran it until August 2025, and founded Bolgr in September 2018, remaining with it until June 2025. Before that he was COO of Foresco Packaging NV from November 2009 to 2018, and R&D manager at Plus Pack from February 2005 to December 2009. He held various roles at Aveve between 2002 and 2005, and completed an internship at Philips in 2000 and 2001.

Noelmans studied at Sint-Jozefscollege Hasselt from 1988 to 1994 and took a Master in Engineering in Electro Mechanics at KU Leuven - Group T Leuven Campus from 1996 to 2001, followed by a GAS bedrijfseconomie at KU Leuven from 2001 to 2002. In 2008 he attended the SRDM programme in R&D at INSEAD, and from 2018 to 2019 he took a specialisation course in light and lighting technology at KU Leuven.
