
Jeroen Lecoutere
Jeroen Lecoutere is the founder of Swimtraxx, which he started in January 2018, and is based in Leuven. Since 2025 he has also been associate head coach at Leuven Aquatics, a club where he had earlier served as director from 2010 to 2023. Between 2023 and 2025 he was head swim coach at LERC.
Before founding Swimtraxx he was a senior associate at Boston Consulting Group from 2017 to 2018. From 2011 to 2016 he was a PhD researcher and teaching assistant at KU Leuven, spending part of 2015 as a visiting researcher at Griffith University. He competed as an athlete for Team Belgium in the summer of 2013 and again in mid-2022.
Lecoutere studied at Heilig-Hartinstituut Heverlee, then spent his freshman year in aerospace engineering at The Ohio State University. He completed a bachelor's degree in engineering at KU Leuven in 2009, a master's in biomedical engineering in 2011 and a doctorate in electrical engineering in 2016, having taken a summer internship there in 2010.
