Jerome Wertz

Jerome Wertz is a co-founder of ephyca and is based in Liège. He co-founded the company in June 2025 and has served as its chief executive officer since then.

Before that, he spent from August 2021 to May 2025 at Tobii, where he was marketing manager until February 2023 and director of business development until his departure. In December 2014 he co-founded Phasya and led it as chief executive officer until August 2021.

His earlier career was at the University of Liège, which he joined in August 2009 as a system engineer and research and development engineer, adding the role of R&D project manager from May 2010 until December 2014.

Wertz holds a master's degree in industrial engineering from the Institut Supérieur Industriel Gramme, completed in 2009, and an executive master's in management awarded in 2013 by Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Managment, Louvain School Management and HEC Liège Executive School. He also took courses in entrepreneurship at HEC - Liège Executive School, in IP management at the University of Liège, and in selling skills at BrightBiz.
