JJ Wet

JJ Wet is a co-founder of Orion Intelligence, a position he has held since May 2017, and is based in Johannesburg. He is also chief operating officer of RS Anderson Treasury, a role he took up in March 2016, and the founder of both Orion Private Equity, established in November 2016, and Orion Capital, established in April 2012.

Between August 2014 and March 2016 he was a key individual at IronFX Global (South Africa). He had earlier joined RS Anderson Treasury (Pty) Ltd as a treasury dealer in April 2012, and before that spent from November 2006 to March 2012 as a derivative trader at RussellStone Group. He began his career as an article clerk at Gregory, Butt & Marx in November 2005.

Wet studied financial management at the University of Pretoria, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce, having previously attended Potchefstroom Gimnasium. He took the JSE Registered Person Exam through the South African Institute for Financial Markets, studied alternative investment analysis with the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association, and studied at Moonstone Compliance between 2012 and 2015.
