
Jo Wouters is a co-founder of Olpas, a role he has held since 2021, and has owned Candela bv since December 2001. He is based in Herentals.
Between August 2012 and December 2017 he was a co-founder, partner and digital solutions architect at Wunderkraut Belgium, and from October 2016 to December 2017 he was a partner and director of digital solutions and architecture at Appnovation Technologies. He sat on the board of directors of Cloudstar from 2012 to May 2016. Earlier, he co-founded Krimson - Drupal Architects, where he worked as a Drupal architect from June 2007 to August 2012.
He joined Fortis Insurance Belgium in January 2000 as an analyst-programmer and technical architect, becoming technical architect leader in June 2006. From January 1999 to April 2000 he founded and operated an anonymous remailer. He worked as an analyst-programmer at Ordina Belgium from 1998 to 2000, as a programmer at KBC Bank & Verzekering from 1995 to 1998, and as a day camp leader at the YMCA of Silicon Valley in the summer of 1995.
Wouters studied information technology at KU Leuven and at Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen, and later followed programmes at the University of Antwerp, Vlerick Business School, the Leadership Academy and ie-net ingenieursvereniging.
