Johan Belmans
Johan Belmans is a co-founder of Blacksquid, a role he has held since October 2022, and is based in Belgium. Since September 2022 he has been a treasure hunter at the EUE Foundation, and in July 2019 he co-founded CGIF vzw, where he remains. He has worked on 3D visualisation at Belly.be since 2005.
In 2017 he co-founded the 3D People Meet Up, which ran from January to September of that year, and between February 2012 and December 2016 he was a co-organiser of MUG Antwerp. From January 2001 to December 2013 he was a 3D visualisation specialist at Poponcini & Lootens ir architecten bvba, and from 1999 to 2000 he worked as an architect at Foster and Partners.
Belmans studied architecture at Henry van de Velde from 1993 to 1999 and took a Master of Science in computer aided building design at the University of Strathclyde between 1999 and 2000.
