
Johan Bonner
Johan Bonner is based in Gent, where he is co-founder of Material Mastery, a role he has held since April 2021. He co-founded return2sender in November 2024, has owned icefish since October 2005, and has been a guest lecturer at KULAK since 2011.
From May 2016 to April 2022 he was interim manager at SQUID, and between March 2007 and May 2016 he was a partner at Pars Pro Toto, working in client acquisition, strategic design consultancy and service design. He was Chief Sand Officer at QUUT from June 2012 to April 2016 and a design coach at Humin (1+2) from 2009 to 2013. His teaching also included Vlerick Business School from 2013 to May 2020, Hogeschool Gent from September 2012 to May 2020, Howest - PIH from 2006 to 2011 and HA dept. Productontwikkeling from 2006 to 2007.
Earlier, he held various management positions at Samsonite from 2000 to 2005, was development manager at PME Europe and a project manager at Minds. He studied integrated product development at Hogeschool Antwerpen and took master's degrees in marketing management and high tech marketing at Vlerick Business School.
